
Puccini’s Classic Sails – Third Edition – Torre del Lago Puccini

Competitive regatta for classic and vintage sailboats built of wood or metal. Organized by the Circolo Velico di Torre del Lago Puccini (CVTLP) on the occasion of the Centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s death. Torre del Lago Puccini is a beautiful location nestled between Lake Massaciuccoli and the sea. Participation will be open to the following categories of boats built of wood or metal: dinghies (derive), keelboats (imbarcazioni a bulbo), lateen-rigged boats (imbarcazioni a vela latina), meter classes (classi metriche), cabin cruisers (cabinati); fiberglass boats designed before 1980, and all those replicas of classic or vintage sailboats, built in conformity with the original design. The ASDEC Councillor, Alessandro Mazzoni, together with the President of the Museo Barca Lariana, Ferdinando Zanoletti, will hold a conference on the history of dinghies from the first half of the 20th century, with reference also to the collection of the Museo della Barca Lariana, which will be present with its own stand.
