Introduction to the Historical Register
The Historical Nautical Register (HNR)
Guardian of Nautical Memory
The result of constant research and census work by ASDEC, the Historical Nautical Register is an important collection of data and information relating to vintage and classic boats.
This work is in line with Article 3 of the ASDEC Statute, which aims to preserve hulls of historical value, encourage conservative restoration, and safeguard the technical and cultural nautical heritage.
Objective and Function: The goal of the HNR is to ensure maximum visibility and completeness of the heritage, allowing enthusiasts and scholars to gather information with ease.
The information is sourced from members and authoritative figures (such as the Museo Barca Lariana) and is kept to ensure data preservation even in the event of shipyard closures or the loss of the hulls themselves.
