Elisabetta

DESCRIPTION

The 1969 Riva Olympic is much more than a vessel: it is a timeless icon, capable of combining the unmistakable style of the Riva shipyard with the elegance typical of the Sixties. Designed by Carlo Riva, this model was created for the Mexico City Olympics, from which it takes its name, and represents a perfect synthesis of sportiness, comfort, and refinement.

Measuring 6.55 meters in length, the Olympic was created as the “younger brother” of the Aquarama, but maintains the same construction philosophy intact: one of fine woods, harmonious lines, and meticulously crafted details. The planning hull guarantees stability and maneuverability, while the powerful engine (often a Chris-Craft or Riva Crusader V8) allows for brilliant performance, in line with the model’s sporting vocation.

The onboard space is designed to experience the sea in total comfort: the cockpit accommodates up to six people with leather-upholstered seating, enriched by sartorial stitching and chromed details that reflect the light. The aft sunpad invites relaxation, while the mahogany and stainless steel swim platform enhances the classic elegance of the Riva finishes.

Produced in just over 250 units between 1968 and 1983, the Riva Olympic is today a rare boat, highly sought after by collectors worldwide. Every example tells a story of the sea, passion, and Italian craftsmanship, becoming not only a means of navigation but a true collector’s item, a symbol of an era where style was inseparable from substance.

Owning a 1969 Riva Olympic means entering a legend made of design, performance, and timeless charm, uniting the tradition of the past with the contemporary pleasure of exclusive boating.
