Lake Maggiore – Stresa – Motorboat Meeting – 2025

An exclusive event for historical motorboating enthusiasts

From June 26th to 29th, 2025, Lake Maggiore hosted the “Adunata Motonautica per Scafi d’Epoca e Classici” (Motorboat Gathering for Vintage and Classic Vessels), a prestigious rally dedicated to historic motorboats capable of maintaining a minimum cruising speed of 30 km/h. The event took place at the Verbano Yacht Club in Stresa, one of the oldest Italian nautical clubs, founded in 1895 and famous for having organized, since the early 1900s, some of the most important motorboat races and sailing regattas on the lake.

A journey through the history and wonders of Lake Maggiore

During the three days of the rally, the crews had the opportunity to navigate the entire perimeter of Lake Maggiore, discovering breathtaking scenery and places of great historical and landscape interest:

Navigating north towards Switzerland, with a visit to the charming Brissago Islands and the legendary Castles of Cannero, ancient medieval fortifications currently under restoration.
Exploring the southern part of the lake, along the Piedmontese and Lombard coasts, to admire the Rocca di Angera (Angera Fortress), the Eremo di Santa Caterina del Sasso (Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso), and the enchanting towns overlooking the water.
A day dedicated to the Borromean Islands, with guided tours of the splendid Isola Madre (Mother Island), famous for its tropical botanical garden, and the Isola Bella (Beautiful Island), renowned for its 17th-century Baroque palace and magnificent Italian-style gardens set on ten terraces.
Discovering the Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen’s Island), a charming lakeside village with typical restaurants, markets, and artisan shops.

A not-to-be-missed opportunity for classic boating lovers

The event represented a unique opportunity for owners and enthusiasts of vintage and classic boats, who were able to share their passion in an exclusive and evocative setting. The Organizing Committee also evaluated the admission of more recent vessels that, due to their design and construction, hold particular historical and traditional value.
