History and culture retraced in the conference organized by the LA CAPITANIO 1926 Foundation – A.P.S.
Dear guests and supporters,
A few days after the conclusion of the celebrations for the Centenary of the Capitanio,
we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to each of you for taking part in such a meaningful occasion.
The two days saw extraordinary participation and a level of engagement that exceeded all expectations, reflecting the profound significance and shared appreciation of this project. A result that makes us proud and that was made possible thanks to the contribution of everyone involved: institutions, partners, volunteers, guests, and the public.
This event represents not only a celebration, but also part of a broader project aimed at engaging and enhancing the entire Sebino area, bringing together communities, history, and identity in a shared journey.
Your presence and support made every moment — from the institutional events to the activities on the lake — an authentic experience, capable of enhancing the history and identity of the Capitanio and of our territory.

The Capitanio, now a symbol of identity for our lake and its historical memory, has reached the present day while preserving in its name the legacy of Saint Bartolomea Capitanio: a young woman of extraordinary courage and remarkable vision who, in the early decades of the 19th century, distinguished herself through works of profound humanity and dedication to others.
At a time when women were granted very little space in public and social life, Bartolomea managed, at just twenty years old, to leave an indelible mark through actions and initiatives that still resonate within our communities today.
With gratitude,
The Board of Directors
